Description

Bubblerap was created by former students from the IT-university in Denmark. We all have different backgrounds, but got together with one sole purpose: to push the game medium and create games driven by narrative.

History

Early history

The team originates from the IT-University in Copenhagen, Denmark. Bubblerap was created out of necessity for one of the game development classes taught at the University.
Back then, the production team consisted of Lau, Mia Michał, Miki, Peter, Victor and Frederik. These guys and girl who were the originators of team Bubblerap had an unique and creative vision of using the game medium for driving a narrative which ultimately led to the production of Skyld.
A summer day, which involved beer, made it possible for Adonis to become part of Bubblerap and Søren joined the team half a year later but this time without any inclusion of beer. The production began 1. september 2014 and kinda concludes our boring genesis. Unfortunately we cannot entertain with stories about living in basements or stealing from the rich, sorry.

After that

The production of Bubblerap has been a part-time project since most of us are still in school or working full time. This has been going on for a year now, with its ups and downs mostly because of the many events that are currently taking place in our lives.
At a certain point we could not see the point of continuing the development, so we decided to use SKYLD for our own personal CV use, and at least get something out of the many hours that we had invested in the project.
We had to reassemble, and this time the goal was simple; lets put it online and force players to interact with our game, through our social channels. We were well aware that the chances of drowning in a big pool of daily published games was very high, but if everything else failed we would still be able to use SKYLD for our own CVs.
Long story short, we decided to produce a demo of SKYLD and got on with the program. But the recent activity and interest has given us a renewed spirit and we are currently looking for ways to fund the next part of production.
